In June 2011, 4-year-old Kasyn Olivadotti, daughter of UGA Linebacker Coach Kirk Olivadotti, was diagnosed with cancer (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). In the fall, doctors told Kasyn and her family that she was in remission, but to ensure the best possible outcome, Kasyn will still have to undergo a very aggressive, rigorous and often painful series of treatments for the next 18 months.
Through it all, Kasyn’s mom, Keely, says that her daughter continues to worry about all the other children she sees during her visits to the hospital. With all she’s going through, she still has a true compassion for these very sick children.
Knowing that Kasyn is receiving the best of care at the Aflac Cancer Center, the UGA Football Coaches Wives want to do something to honor this brave little girl. The Kasyn Cares Fund was established to benefit pediatric cancer research at the Aflac Cancer Center. With the help of friends and volunteers, the UGA Football Coaches Wives are working to raise important donations for this fund.
